Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Reelody Inc., a California corporation ("Reelody", "we", "us"), which operates the Reelody service at reelody.com (the "Service"), and they govern your use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Reelody does
Reelody lets you upload audio and images and uses artificial-intelligence systems — including third-party AI providers — to generate music videos, images, lip-sync animation, and related content ("Output"). AI generation is inherently probabilistic: we do not guarantee that any particular generation will succeed or meet your expectations. Where a generation fails in a way the Service detects (for example, a lip-sync that cannot be produced), credits for that generation are automatically returned to your account balance as described in our Refund Policy.
AI generation is orchestrated, not directed. Pictures, clips and lip sync are made by AI models that the Service instructs but does not control frame by frame. A result can differ from your description, your reference images or what you had in mind — for example a face, an outfit, an action, the camera, or the timing of the lips — and it can contain things nobody asked for. Each generation is a separate attempt: credits are charged for an attempt that delivers a result, whether or not that result matches what you intended, and trying again uses credits again. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
2. Eligibility and your account
- The Service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create an account or use the Service. You confirm your age when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Free trial. The free trial is offered without a card in the countries we sell to, for songs sung in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Catalan, Irish, Maltese, Luxembourgish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Croatian, Slovenian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Anywhere else, in another language, or through a VPN or proxy, the free trial starts once a payment card is added. The card is verified by our payment processor and kept for later purchases; nothing is charged until you buy a plan or credits. The free trial may be paused or limited per day at any time. Paid plans and credit purchases have no country or language restriction.
3. Credits and payment
- The Service is paid for with prepaid credits, purchased through our payment processor, Stripe.
- All credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. See the Refund Policy.
- Credits are valid for a limited time. Credits included in a plan are valid until the end of the billing period in which they are issued and do not carry over to the next period. Credits bought as a one-time top-up, in the amounts offered on the Billing page, are valid for 12 months from purchase. Free sign-up credits are valid for 5 days. Credits returned to you after a failed generation rejoin your soonest-expiring credits, or are valid for 12 months if none remain. The validity of each credit grant is shown in Billing before you buy and while the credits last; when it ends, unused credits expire and are removed from your balance. Credits held for a generation that is already running are not affected. Credits in your balance before September 22, 2026 keep the terms under which they were bought.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your profile ("Manage / cancel subscription"), effective at the end of the current period — no cancellation fee.
- If you enable auto-top-up, you authorize us to automatically charge your saved payment method for your most recent purchase amount when your balance falls below the stated threshold. You can disable auto-top-up at any time in Billing.
- If you are an EU/UK consumer, purchasing requests immediate delivery of digital content and you acknowledge losing the 14-day withdrawal right once delivery begins — see the Refund Policy.
- Credits for feedback. We may add credits to your account for detailed product feedback — what is wrong, what is missing, specifically enough to act on — at our discretion and after we have read it: 1,000 credits on a paid plan, once every 14 days, and 500 credits on the free plan, once per account. A support request about your own account, project or generation is not feedback. These credits are a promotional grant, are valid for 30 days from the day they are added, have no cash value, and are not refundable. We may change or withdraw the offer at any time; credits already added are unaffected. The same terms apply to credits we offer in an email for completing a feedback questionnaire: they are a promotional grant, valid for 30 days from the day they are added, once per account.
- Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not a currency or deposit.
- Pricing of generations may change at any time; the price shown before you start a generation is the price charged.
- Plan pages describe capacity as a number of music videos or shorts, stated as a maximum ("up to"). Those figures are illustrative estimates drawn from the same pool of credits — they are alternatives, not separate allowances — and are rounded up to the nearest whole piece, so the final piece in a stated figure may not be fully covered by the balance. One full music video is counted as 1,550 credits, based on a two-minute song, and one short (30 seconds) as 450, based on a single-lead b-roll build at 1080p with five-second scenes and no retakes. A longer song, lip sync, additional cast, longer scenes, and regenerations all consume additional credits, so a heavier build yields fewer finished pieces than the estimate. Your credit balance, not the estimate, is what governs what you can produce.
4. Your content
"Your Content" means anything you upload to the Service — songs, audio, lyrics, photos, images, and text prompts.
- You must own or have the necessary rights to everything you upload. This includes the musical composition, the sound recording, and the likeness of any person appearing in images you upload. Uploading commercial music you do not have rights to may infringe the rights of songwriters, artists, and labels, and is your responsibility, not ours.
- Face measurements. The Service measures the faces in photos and videos you upload to keep characters consistent and sync the right person (see the Privacy Policy, section 4a). Before uploading a photo or video of anyone other than yourself, you must have their consent to this — or, for anyone under 18, the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Children in your videos. You may include a child in your content (for example, a birthday video) only if you are the child’s parent or legal guardian or have their permission. A video that shows a child may be shared by Link only, never as Public on Explore, and never in a way that could endanger the child (see section 7).
- You retain ownership of Your Content.
- You grant Reelody a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, and transmit Your Content — including sending it to the third-party AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy — solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you.
- We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to advertise anyone else's products. The one exception is showcasing videos made with the Service, described in section 6 — which you can opt out of at any time.
5. Output
- Subject to these Terms and to your compliance with them, Reelody assigns to you all right, title, and interest it may have in the Output generated for you. You may use Output commercially.
- AI-generated material may not be protectable by copyright in some jurisdictions, and similar or identical output may be generated for other users. We make no promise of exclusivity or copyrightability.
- You are responsible for how you use Output — including making sure your use of any underlying music, likenesses, or other third-party material in the Output is lawful.
6. Showcasing videos made with Reelody
We show what the Service can do by publishing examples of what people make with it.
- You grant Reelody a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to reproduce, display, and perform videos you create with the Service — in whole or in part, including excerpts, single frames, and resized, cropped, re-framed, or re-formatted versions (for example a vertical or square re-factor) — on the Reelody website at reelody.com and its subdomains, to demonstrate what the Service does.
- We may show it alongside other examples, add captions or a Reelody mark, and describe how it was made. We will not sell your videos, and we will not license them to anyone else for their own advertising.
- This licence cannot grant more than you hold: it covers only videos whose underlying music, likenesses, and other material you have the necessary rights to under section 4. If you do not hold those rights for a video, this licence does not cover it — tell us and we will not publish it.
- You can opt out at any time. Email support@reelody.com naming the video or your account, and we will stop using it and take it off the site within a reasonable period. Removal works going forward; copies already cached or shared by others may persist outside our control.
- Nothing here obliges us to publish anything, and we may stop using any example at any time. We never publish your email address, and we name or credit you only if you ask us to.
6a. Sharing your video on a public page
- You can choose to share a finished video on its own page at a reelody.com link. Nothing is shared unless you press Share, and you choose who can see it: Public shows it on our Explore page, where anyone can watch and like it and search engines may list it; Link only makes it reachable only by people who have the link, and keeps it off Explore and out of search. Signed-in users can like public videos; the like count is shown, the names of people who liked it are not.
- Sharing is your choice and your responsibility: share only videos whose music, likenesses, and other material you have the rights to (section 4), and that follow section 7. You grant Reelody the licence needed to host and display the shared video and its title on that page for as long as it is shared.
- You can stop sharing at any time from the Final Video tab; the page then stops working. Copies others have already downloaded or embedded may persist outside our control.
- We may remove any shared page, for example after a report or a copyright notice (see our Copyright / DMCA Policy). Every shared page has a link to report it.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create, upload, or share:
- content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- realistic depictions of identifiable real people without their consent, or any content intended to deceive, defame, harass, or impersonate a real person;
- any sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits or endangers minors in any way;
- content that is unlawful, or that promotes violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics;
- political disinformation or content presented as authentic footage of real events when it is not.
You also agree not to abuse the Service itself — for example by circumventing billing, scraping, reverse-engineering, overloading our infrastructure, or reselling access. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
8. Copyright complaints
We respond to copyright infringement notices. See our Copyright / DMCA Policy for how to submit a notice and how counter-notices work. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers (AI generation, payment, hosting) named in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for outages or changes in those services, and their availability may affect generation speed or success.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY GENERATION WILL SUCCEED.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REELODY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
12. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Reelody against claims arising from Your Content, your use of Output, or your violation of these Terms — including claims by music rights holders or by people depicted in content you upload or generate.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. Credits are forfeited on termination for cause; on account deletion at your request, any remaining credits lapse (they have no cash value).
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
